Contributions & Gifts
The music department is struggling to meet the cost of new band uniforms. A young student aspires to attend college as a first-generation student, or take a college course through the high school's dual enrollment program, but doesn't have the funding to meet the cost. The district's library budget can no longer support bringing in new books. But with your help through the Education Foundation, you can help make a difference. There are a variety of funds you can help support or establish, and the type of fund you choose will reflect your passion and the degree by which you want to get involved.
The Foundation continues to work very hard to grow the Foundation's assets to the point where it will be able to help fund a wide variety of programs which will benefit students of all ages in our district — and there are a number of ways to contribute to that effort. We invite donations from individuals, civic groups, corporations and other nonprofits. All donations are tax deductible and help to support the growth and development of our students across all grade levels.

The district's needs continually change. By making an unrestricted donation, it allows the Foundation to evaluate the district's needs — with the guidance of WASD's administration, faculty and staff — and direct your funds to an area of greatest impact.
A designated gift or fund supports an area of the district you choose to benefit. By holding your gift under the management of the Education Foundation, your gift will continue to grow and will be developed in perpetuity.
Memorial or Commemorative Gift
Remember or honor a loved one, a birthday or anniversary by making your donation made in memory or in honor of a special moment or person.
Give the gift of education by establishing a scholarship through the Education Foundation. Since 2013, the WASD Education Foundation has managed and administered all scholarships of the district. The donor determines the criteria for the scholarship, which may include grade point average, course of study or achievements. Scholarships may be established by families, individuals, companies or organizations.
