WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (NOVEMBER 24, 2020) — Due to the increased risk of exposure to and spread of COVID-19 cases within our community over Thanksgiving break, all students in grades K-12 will temporarily shift to full remote learning from Tuesday, Dec. 1, through Friday, Dec. 4.

All schools are expected to return to five-day, in-person instruction on Monday, Dec. 7.

The district’s decision to temporarily shift to full remote learning will allow those students potentially exposed over the holiday break to quarantine without missing school, while also mitigating the risk of contributing to the spread of COVID-19.

All students are expected to log in to Schoology according to their regular academic schedules:

WAHS: 7:40 a.m. to 2:25 p.m. | WAMS: 7:45 a.m. to 2:40 p.m.
Intermediate Schools: 8:50 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. | Primary Schools: 9:05 a.m. to 3:35 p.m.

All students will be held responsible for all assignments and any lapse in attendance.

This temporary move to full remote instruction affects all K-12 students.

If you believe you’ve been exposed to or have had a positive case in your household over Thanksgiving break, please keep your child home and contact his or her school first thing on Monday, Dec. 7.
