Image for WASD Expands on Safety Measures with 'Stop the Bleed' Training, Kits
In partnership with UPMC Susquehanna, WASD continues to train all district employees this year in the national Stop the Bleed initiative. Today, 16 Stop the Bleed kits, each containing eight individual kits, were delivered to the district for installation at each of its school buildings for public accessibility.

The WASD Education Foundation announced it recently awarded $24,009 in grants to support six programs and initiatives across the district. Those awarded were among the foundation’s first this school year that have the potential to impact thousands of student now and into the future.

The Williamsport Area School Board appointed Barbara Reeves as its newest member at tonight's meeting. Reeves replaces Spencer Sweeting, who resigned from the board in August.

The Williamsport Area School District bid farewell to its 34 retirees tonight during a reception honoring the more than 689 years of collective experience departing the district.

Williamsport Area Middle School takes students from the 4th-6th grade intermediate years to the next step in their academic and social transformation. Advanced course options and introduction to Career and Technical Education will get children thinking about their futures. Furthermore, introduction to competitive sports, enhanced music education and performance arts will help your child become well-rounded, blossom, and flourish.

School Wide Positive Behavior

The Williamsport Area Middle School implements school wide positive behavior (SWPB) which  recognizes and reinforces the school district’s behavioral expectations for all students. Student expectations are the 4 Bs:

  • Be Present
  • Be Respectful
  • Be Responsible
  • Be Safe
