The Color Run begins at 9 a.m. with the free trunk-or-treat open to community from 10 a.m. to noon. Proceeds from the event benefit students at both Lycoming Valley Intermediate and Jackson Primary schools.

A number of brave edgers will have the opportunity to rappel down the William Hepburn Apartments, in exchange for donations back to local nonprofit organizations: the YWCA Northcentral Pennsylvania, the WASD Education Foundation, and the River Valley Regional YMCA.

The WASD Education Foundation announced today its distribution of 152 brand-new books to the elementary library system as part of its annual Building Libraries Through Literacy Program.

WASD announced the launch of its new website tonight. Using Watsontown-based marketing firm MoJoActive, the website was built using the latest design features with a more responsive interface, is sleeker and more intuitive to provide an improved online experience.

Taking a big first step

Lycoming Valley Intermediate School takes students from the kindergarten-3rd primary grade years to the next step in their academic and social journeys. Increased challenges in core curriculum courses and introduction to enhanced music education, such as playing a musical instrument, will help your child learn about his or her aptitudes and abilities and help shape your child's future interests.
