National Blue Ribbon School: Hepburn-Lycoming Primary Celebrates with Open House

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (APRIL 21, 2023) — Hepburn-Lycoming Primary School celebrated its designation as a 2022 National Blue Ribbon School with a night of music and art Thursday night.
Those attending the open house celebration had the chance to hear more than 50 third-graders kick off the evening with a musical performance, walk "the blue carpet" with a photo-op, and enjoy the student artwork on the walls throughout the building.
Last fall, the U.S. Department of Education named the kindergarten through third-grade school a 2022 National Blue Ribbon School based on a school’s overall academic performance or progress in closing achievement gaps among student subgroups. The designation recognizes the school as an Exemplary High-Performing School.
