Jackson Students Read, Draw Along with Famed Author Alice Walker

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (OCTOBER 12, 2021) — Thanks to Crayola, students at Jackson Primary School received a first reading of Alice Walker's new children's book, "Sweet People Are Everywhere," straight from the author herself this afternoon.
A school-wide virtual event, the Pulitzer Prize-winning writer led students through a live 45-minute "Read Along, Draw Along" session that also featured the illustrator of her book, Quim Torres.
The afternoon event was the school's October MAGIC event that served to tie in this year’s “Choose Kindness” theme.
