Student Life - Music

Follow your own beat…

At Williamsport, we offer a variety of programs for our vocal and instrumental talent in a wide range of music selections from classical to contemporary. A Best Communities for Music Education for 16 consecutive years, Williamsport Area High School is proud to provide both curricular music education for students in vocal and instrumental coursework as well as non-curricular music opportunities. Specialized groups like our Strolling Strings, Marching Millionaires, orchestras, and vocal ensembles are often invited to perform at various community events and have even performed at the White House.

We are pleased to have a dedicated staff of 16 throughout the district who work with the children on their techniques, exercises, and education about many types of music. Furthermore, our district, its administration, and various others have continued to provide support in many forms to preserve and continue our strong music programs in the district. It is this dedication that has lead to Williamsport Area School District’s designation as a Best Community for Music Education for 16 consecutive years.
