4 WAHS Students, 1 Faculty Member Among Those Honored at 'Women of Excellence' Celebration

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (NOVEMBER 14, 2025) — Four Williamsport Area High School students and one district employee were among those honored at the 17th annual Women of Excellence celebration, hosted by YWCA Northcentral PA on Nov. 12 at the Community Arts Center.
Among the evening’s seven award categories — each for professionals and high school student nominees — senior McKylee Vollman was chosen in Education, senior Kyra Lichtenfels in Health & Wellness, senior Fantasia Galagarza in Guiding Light and sophomore Elizabeth Kirk as a Junior Rising Star.
Amy Bolt, a health and physical education teacher at Williamsport Area Middle School, won the Education category.
While not award-winners, other WASD representatives were among the nominees.
Both Lori Baer, school board president, and Michelle Boyles, a kindergarten teacher at Hepburn-Lycoming Primary School, were nominated in Education.
Other Young Ladies of Excellence nominees from WAHS were Emma Poole, Education; Calissa Reed, Advocacy; Linah Van Emerik, Art & Culture; Ashlyn Robinson and Belle Morrow, Sports; Dayianna Baines, Guiding Light; and Isabelle Sanders, Maddie Sanders and Ava Carter as Junior Rising Star.
Ninety-two nominations were made and 14 awards were granted from among the following categories: Art & Culture, Education, Advocacy, Health & Wellness, Guiding Light, Sports, and Rising Star.
