WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (AUGUST 13, 2025) — The Williamsport Area School Board approved leadership changes at Hepburn-Lycoming Primary School and Williamsport Area Middle School for the 2025-2026 school year during its August meeting.

Kyle Huff will transition from his role as dean of students at Hepburn-Lycoming Primary School to be dean of students at Williamsport Area Middle School. In his new role, Huff will serve on the middle school leadership team with Head Principal Kirk Felix and Assistant Principal Kevin Mumbauer.

Huff first joined the district as a sixth-grade teacher at Lycoming Valley Intermediate School. Before coming to WASD, he taught fourth grade at Clyde C. Cox Elementary School in Las Vegas. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and a master’s degree from PennWest Edinboro University.

Replacing Huff is Angela Rhone, who will assume the role of dean of students. She previously served as a kindergarten teacher at Jackson Primary School and will join Head Principal Michele Loomis, Ed.D., in leading the building.

Before joining the district, Rhone worked as an assistant pre-k teacher at East Lycoming School District and as a kindergarten teacher at Wellsboro Area School District. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree from Mansfield University.
