Meals for Hybrid Remote Days
Parents will be able to purchase meals for students enrolled in the Williamsport Area School District Hybrid Learning Program for the remote days. On days when the students are in school, they will receive the pre-ordered remote day meals to take home.Breakfast and Lunch meals will be available for parents to pre-order. Orders must be placed no later than 11:30 p.m. the day before the student brings home the meals. Orders placed after this time may not be processed. Hybrid A students will bring home breakfast and lunch on Monday for Tuesday’s remote day and on Wednesday for Thursday and Friday’s remote days. Hybrid B students will bring home breakfast and lunch on Tuesday for Wednesday’s remote day and on Thursday for Friday and Monday’s remote day. You may place orders for meals up to 10 days prior to the meal date.
Breakfast will consist of cereal, crackers, juice, and 1% white milk. Lunch will consist of an entree, vegetable, fruit, and 1% chocolate milk. Instructions for re-heating the entrée will be provided.
Unlike the meals provided last school year during the shutdown, students will be charged for the meals based on eligibility. See chart below for details.

To order meals, parents must log into the SchoolCafe account at www.schoolcafe.com or through the SchoolCafe app on their mobile device. If you do not have an account, please follow the steps to create a new account.
To place orders:
Step 1: Log into SchoolCafe
Step 2: Select “Place Order” under your first student. (You will need to order separately for each day for each student.)
Step 3: Select the date for the day your student will be on remote. (Example: For Hybrid A’s remote meal on Tuesday, you would select Tuesday’s date.)
Step 4: Select both breakfast and lunch under the meal type. (Note: Both meals must be ordered.)
Step 5: Under Fulfillment – Select “Take Home” for both meals.
Step 6: Under Serving Period – Select your student’s grade level and teacher name. This will ensure the meal is delivered to the appropriate classroom for your student to take home the meals. Select “Commons” for High School Students.
Step 7: Click “Next”
Step 8: Under Take Home Breakfast -- Click “Add” and “Next”
Step 9: Under Take Home Lunch -- Click “Add” and “Next”
Step 10: Review your order and click “Place Order”

Breakfast and Lunch meals will be available for parents to pre-order. Meals must be pre-ordered and will be bundled for pick up based on instructional days.

When placing meal orders for students, parents will be able to choose a pickup location. Current pickup sites are Williamsport Middle School, Curtin Intermediate School, Jackson Primary School, and Lycoming Valley Intermediate School. The locations may change based on participation. In order to pick up meal bundles, meals must be pre-ordered. You will be able to pick up meal bundles at a district school even though your child attends another district school.
Meal bundles will be available for instructional days only. The chart below provides pick up dates and the number of meal bundles for each pick up date. Based on participation during this time, we may change the pick up locations, times, dates, and number of meals per distribution beginning the week of September 28.

Meal bundle orders can be placed on a monthly basis or at least 5 days prior to the pick up date.
To place orders:
Step 1: From District website www.wasd.org, Select “Parents & Students” – “Food Services”
Step 2: Under Healthy Bodies, Healthy Minds - Select “100% Remote Food Order”
Step 3: Meal bundles will need to be ordered separately for each student. A separate form will need to be completed for each student.
Step 4: Enter Student Last and First Name
Step 5: Enter the ID or Lunch Number for the Student
Step 6: Select the Student’s Home School. Note: This is not the school where you will pick up the meal bundle.
Step 5: Acknowledge that you understand that your child’s meal account will be charged based on meal eligibility status
Step 6: Select the dates that you wish to pick up meal bundles – Noting how many meal bundles will be picked up on that date.
Step 7: Select the location that you wish to pick up the meal bundles. The pick up time is between 4-6 PM and as long as the student is a WASD student, attendance at the pick up location is not required.
Step 8: Enter your name
Step 9: Enter your contact email just in case the Food Service staff has questions.
Review your selection and hit “Submit”
Be sure to arrive at the pick up location on the appropriate date and time to pick up the meal bundles.
