WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (September 21st, 2026) — By a landslide vote, there was no surprise when seniors, Colyn Jandrisavitz and Isabella (Izzy) Thompke were selected to represent Williamsport Area High School (WAHS) and all its history.

Mr. and Miss Millionaire is no easy feat, with nominations coming from the senior class and faculty. However, for these two, the class knew they were the only fit for the role.

Mr. and Miss Millionaire is a long-standing tradition, where two students are selected from the senior class to represent the student body. Not only are they the voice for their classmates, but they also embody the true spirit of “The Millionaire.”

 Millionaire are involved in, the landslide vote makes complete sense. Jandrisavitz’s long list of activities includes VP of the Senior Class Executive Board, President of SADD Club, Founder and Member of Awakening Faith, Link Crew Leader, Student Body Ambassador, Hope Squad Ambassador, participating in the musicals and tech crew, and running XC and track, where he is also the captain of the XC team. Out of all his classes, he enjoys choir and his TV production class.

Outside of school is also quite busy for Jandrisavitz. He serves as the president of the Youth Development Task Force (YDTF) and has a part-time gig at Chick-fil-A.

When asked “What does it mean to be Mr./Miss Millionaire,” Colyn shared that “being in the suit and top hat is a responsibility. It is our goal to bring hype into the stadium and be something bigger. This role shows how much one person can reflect on the community with just enthusiasm and presence.”
Izzy’s understanding is that it means “embracing what it truly means to be a millionaire. With that it’s carrying the values, representing the ‘3 B’s’ [Be Present. Be Respectful. Be Responsible. Be Safe. Be Professional.] and simply put, being a person that people look to connect with.”

Connecting with this pair comes naturally, because as this interview was conducted and photos were taken, just about every group or student walking by said hello.

After almost 4 years at WAHS, the two have grown as individuals but have also grown their class. Their class involvement is one of the highest that the principals have experienced in quite some time, especially after the brief pause in connecting with Covid-19. Dr. Justin Ross, head principal of WAHS, shared that “this is the most involved and spirited class that [he has] experienced in the last 6 years or so." He looks forward to the new school year: "It is exciting to see the energy and need for student involvement back in our building, and we are excited to have these two carry the energy for not only this year, but as inspiration for the upcoming classes.”

Mr. and Miss Millionaire, while excited to lead their class, also hope the younger students take note and run with the energy they are excited to build.

“I want the younger students to get involved and quite honestly, get comfortable embarrassing themselves. Try new things. Explore things that you wouldn’t otherwise do,” Izzy explained. “It is good to embrace being out of your comfort zone because that really is the only way to grow as a person.”

Colyn shared similar sentiments: “I want the younger students to get outside of their bubble and not just stay in the same friend group. I want them to get to know other personalities, different relationships, different viewpoints. That’s what really brings us together.”

After talking with Colyn and Izzy, it is easy to see why their classmates chose them to represent the senior class. They are involved, approachable, and genuinely excited to bring their classmates together. As they step into the roles of Mr. and Miss Millionaire, they are not only carrying on a long-standing tradition but creating a new chapter of it for their class and the students who will follow them.
