Two WAHS Seniors Selected as School Board Representatives

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (SEPTEMBER 9, 2025) — Williamsport Area High School has named seniors Xavier Johnston-Myrick and Brianna Heltman as student representatives to the district’s school board for the 2025-26 academic year.
The pair will deliver reports at each board meeting throughout the year, highlighting developments in academics, athletics, student life and school events.
In addition to their core academic classes, both students are deeply engaged in extracurricular and community programs.
Johnston-Myrick, a dual enrollment student in math and English, is active in the performing arts. He is a member of the Concert Choir, the Millionaire Singers, the drama program and the improv troupe “Without a Cue.” A National Honor Society inductee, he also performs with the Community Theatre League (CTL). He plans to attend Slippery Rock University to major in musical theater.
Heltman is enrolled in the Career and Technical Education Homeland Security Program and is also a dual enrollment English student. A National Honor Society inductee, she’s also a member of the drama program and participates in “Without a Cue.” Outside of school, she’s active at the CTL and is a volunteer firefighter with Trout Run Station 16. She plans to study nursing at Penn State University.
Johnston-Myrick and Heltman delivered their first presentation to the board on Sept. 9, offering a recap of the opening weeks of the school year.
