WASD Welcomes New Faculty for 2025-2026 School Year

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (AUGUST 20, 2025) — The Williamsport Area School District welcomes its new faculty members for the 2025-2026 academic year.

The following educators are members of this year’s induction class:

Williamsport Area High School

  • Phil Baughman, school social worker
  • Lauren Cooley, art teacher
  • Derek Gehr, special education teacher
  • Abbey Gerasimoff, chemistry teacher
  • Samuel Hillman, long-term substitute teacher
  • Alanis St. Clair, speech and language teacher
  • Emily Weaver, English teacher

Williamsport Area Middle School

  • Katie Hornberger, science teacher
  • Isaac Ritter, long-term substitute teacher
  • Jonaida Williams, math teacher

Curtin Intermediate School

  • Kylie Gilmore, fourth-grade teacher
  • Rebecca Reeder, music teacher

Lycoming Valley Intermediate School

These new educators join WASD as part of its induction program, which provides mentoring and professional development to support teachers in their first year.
