Welcome to the Williamsport
Area School District Athletic Department website. Here at the
Williamsport Area School District we take pride in the fact that we
provide quality athletics to our students. We believe that athletics
provide a safe, fun, and friendly environment to develop strong
character and a sense of teamwork in our students. By participating in
Athletics students gain self-confidence by achieving and develop
strong senses of leadership, sportsmanship, and loyalty.
The District provides many
different choices for a student interested in playing a sport. Whether
your interests are in basketball, baseball, or tennis the wide variety
of sports offered in the school district can provide your needs. If
you are interested in joining a sport feel free to contact one of our
coaches, on the contact page, for further information. The information
page provides some information on joining and what some of the
requirements may be. If you have any further questions the contacts
page offers a comprehensive list of our athletic faculty. Remember
that to be eligible to play sports you must maintain proper grades.
Usually this means maintaining a grade at or above C level, some may
require higher. Although we do pride ourselves on our sports programs
our top priority is to have students who are also academically
prepared for life.
