MAY 23, 2017 — The WASD Education Foundation has announced its annual distribution of $2,000 to the district's elementary library system as part of its partnership with the James V. Brown Library's Summer Reading Program.
MAY 22, 2017 — It was a historical night at Williamsport Area Middle School. Eighty-six seventh- and eighth-grade students were inducted during the school's first National Junior Honor Society Induction Ceremony.

APRIL 24, 2017 — Of the 10 WAHS students who recently participated in the statewide SkillsUSA competition in Hershey, five walked away collectively winning $20,000 in scholarships from Pennsylvania College of Technology.
APRIL 21, 2017 — The 10th annual Williamsport Area High School Art Awards Show was held this evening in the June Baskin Gallery (board room) at the district's administration building, during which 27 young artists were recognized for their work by members of the community.
APRIL 21, 2017 — Members of the WAHS football team squared off against their younger peers today at Curtin Intermediate School in a series of obstacles and challenges. Head Coach Chuck Crews has made a commitment to have a rotation of team members visit the elementary schools as an outreach effort to younger students.
