WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (MARCH 25, 2024) — With a matching contribution from Larson Design Group (LDG), the Williamsport Area School District Education Foundation (WASDEF) was able to raise $8,944 through its fifth annual employee giving campaign this winter.

This year’s total marks a 25-percent increase over last year’s results.

LDG matched, dollar-for-dollar, district employees’ new and increased pledges through the foundation's payroll deduction program that totaled $4,472.

“LDG is proud to continue our support to WASD and the Williamsport community,” said David Martin, LDG president and CEO. “Our dedication to charitable giving echoes our belief in the transformative power of education for shaping a better world.” 

“We are extremely grateful for LDG’s continued commitment to this annual campaign,” said Executive Director Greg Hayes. “With these matching dollars, we have the opportunity to amplify the impact of every new and increased pledge from participating employees. This collective effort increases the foundation’s granting power in channeling these contributions back into our schools to advance educational experiences and opportunities for students.”

WASDEF has experienced a 40-percent increase in annual giving through its payroll deduction program since the end of its 2020 fiscal year with contributions now totaling about $14,000.
