317 Grads Celebrated in Historic 2020 Graduation Ceremony

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (JUNE 5, 2020) — Williamsport Area High School's 2019-2020 academic year has just ended, and what a year it was.  

Three-hundred and seventeen graduates proudly celebrated their achievements and received their diplomas in a historic, drive-through format last evening. The commencement ceremony was set to a theme based on the Vivian Greene's quote: “Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, but learning to dance in the rain."

Among the numerous awards, prizes, scholarships and honors received by the classRosemary Flock and Rose Wascher earned their spots as valedictorian and salutatorian, respectively.

NOTE: Graduation speeches made by Superintendent Dr. Timothy S. Bowers, Principal Dr. Brandon Pardoe; students Ashlyn Bird, Emily Smith and senior Class President Lily Douglass; and school board President Lori Baer will be made available by video on or by June 12.
