WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (OCTOBER 23, 2019) — Williamsport Area High School is once again partnering with the Lycoming County United Way (LCUW) to host the Battle of the Beltway Powderpuff Game.

The third annual event, which pits the Williamsport Area High School Lady Millionaires against Loyalsock Township High School Lady Lancers in a game of flag football, begins at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13, at STA Stadium.

This year’s event theme is “Tackling Homelessness” and will serve as a night of awareness about homelessness in our schools and communities, including a “purple-out” to show the impact of the night.  T-shirts will be available for sale to support homeless providers in our community.

Proceeds from the game benefit LCUW and both districts’ education foundations. Since 2017, the event has raised more than $6,000 to support these organizations and their work in our communities.

Gates open to the public at 5:45.

Tickets will be sold at the gate for $4/adults and $2/students.  Programs will sell for $1 and sponsorships are available by contacting your school or the United Way at 570-323-9448.
