WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (JUNE 6, 2019) — Williamsport Area High School's 2018-2019 academic year has just ended, and what a year it was.

Tonight, 311 graduates proudly celebrated their achievements and received their diplomas.

Those in attendance had the privilege of hearing commencement speeches made by members of the senior class — Kayleigh Early and Xzavier Watson.  Each delivered a message set to a theme based on the LM Montgomery quote: “I went looking for dreams outside of myself and discovered it’s not what the world holds for you, it’s what you bring to it.”

In addition, class President Levi Roush also made remarks.

Among the numerous awards, prizes, scholarships and honors received by the class, Early and Derek Lewis were named valedictorian and salutatorian, respectively.

In addition, this year’s high school retirees were acknowledged and honored for their service to the district and its students over the years.
