2019 Outstanding Students Round 2

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (APRIL 16, 2019) — The Williamsport Area School Board continues its annual round of recognizing Outstanding Students tonight.

The yearly presentations, which will take place over the next several school board meetings, honor students who exemplify academic excellence and school citizenship from the top grade at each building.

Presented by their principals, those recognized tonight were third-grade students Elizabeth Kirk, from Jackson Primary School, and Kaylee Rogers from Hepburn-Lycoming Primary School. Also recognized was Pablo Kalamafoni, a sixth-grade student at Lycoming Valley Intermediate School.

Each student is given the opportunity to speak to the board about their time in school, while giving a nod to their principals, teachers, friends and families who help shape and make their positive school experience.

Shown at right from top is Kalamafoni, Kirk and Rogers receiving their certificate with WASD school board President Lori Baer and district Superintendent Dr. Timothy Bowers.
