WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (MARCH 27, 2019) — Mr. Brandon Coleman was recently named Supervisor of Pupil Transportation and School Safety at the Williamsport Area School District.

Coleman, who begins April 1, comes to WASD from Keystone Central School District (KCSD), where he’s held the position of the district’s supervisor of police and transportation since 2009. He replaces Mr. Scott Williams, who resigned from the district in December for other employment.

Coleman will fill the expanded position that now includes the role of school safety, furthering WASD’s commitment to student and staff safety. The role also helps to fulfill all mandates under the state’s recently passed Act 44 school safety legislation.

He will bring nearly 20 years’ worth of law enforcement experience to WASD, having served most recently as chief of police for the Mill Hall Police Department — a post held concurrently to his role at KCSD.

In addition to his work in law enforcement, he also is a 24-year volunteer firefighter with the Woolrich Volunteer Fire Co.

A Clinton County native, Coleman studied sociology at Lock Haven University. He graduated from the police and sheriff academies at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and Penn State University, respectively. He also holds a number of emergency and safety certifications obtained through trainings during his time in law enforcement.
