Fink with 2018 Beneficiaries

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (FEBRUARY 18, 2019) — Williamsport Area High School sophomore Cecilia Fink recently donated $10,500 to support two local causes: the Livestrong program at the YMCA and 6-year-old Declan Bower, who is battling leukemia.

This is Fink’s fifth year supporting local programs and individuals in need through her charity, Be You Boldly. This year’s contribution comes as a result of selling her own, handmade jewelry and through her second annual Pie Day 5K on Thanksgiving.

In addition jewelry purchases made in 2018, her race sponsors were Highmark Blue Cross, Backyard Broadcasting, VFW Post 7863 Duboistown, Wood Whims, Polish Club, Keystone Advertising Specialties, Schemery Zicollelo, UPMC Susquehanna, Blaise Alexander Family Dealerships, Emily DeWire, Jim and Cheryle Fink and J.L. Rishel.

Because of the strong runner and walker support, she was able to use all of their sponsorships toward the 2018 beneficiaries.

Since 2014, Fink has raised close to $30,000 and has a goal to raise $50,000 by the time she graduates from high school in 2021.

Looking ahead, her 2019 charities to support will be YMCA’s Livestrong program and K’s for Cancer, an organization helping cancer patients who are in financial need.

For more information, follow Be YouBoldly on Facebook.

Registration also is under way for 2019’s Pie Day 5K at RunSignUp.com

Those interested in her jewelry can see her throughout the community during First Fridays and other programs selling her jewelry, or by contacting her directly through her charity’s Facebook page.
