WASD Honors, Bids Farewell to 33 Retirees

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (JUNE 5, 2018) — The Williamsport Area School District bid farewell to its 34 retirees tonight during a reception honoring the more than 689 years of collective experience departing the district.

The following is a list of this year's retirees, their most recent position, building and number of years served:

  • Donna Callahan, nurse, WAMS, 27 years
  • Marci Cuozzo, teacher, Lycoming Valley Intermediate,26 years
  • Reginald Fatherly, principal, WAMS, 28 years
  • Karen Furman, teacher, WAMS, 27 years
  • Joanne Henderson, aide, Stevens Primary, 16 years
  • Laura Hess, teacher, Jackson Primary, 33 years
  • Fern Jones, aide, WAMS, 13 years
  • Rebecca Laird, food service, WAHS, 9 years
  • Danny Marshall, tax examiner, 23+ years
  • Richard McCusker, director of pupil transportation, 16 years
