Williamsport Area High School's 2017-2018 academic year has just ended, and what a year it was.
Tonight, 332 graduates proudly celebrated their achievements and received their diplomas.
Those in attendance had the privilege of hearing commencement speeches made by members of the senior class — Morgan Marty and Anna Vaugn Stewart.  Each delivered a message set to a theme based on a quote by John Green from The Abundance of Katherines: "Here's to all the places we went. And all the places we'll go." In addition, class President Cody Shimp also made remarks.
Among the numerous scholarships, awards, prizes and honors received by the class, Angelina Balestino and Lauren Earley were named salutatorian and valedictorian, respectively.
In addition, this year's high school retirees were acknowledged and honored for their service to the district and its students over the years.
