In just five weeks, Jackson Primary School students raised more than $2,100 in a change drive to benefit their building’s PTO.

To recognize their effort, Woodlands Bank treated the four classrooms that raised the most to a pizza party on the eve of the last day of school last week.

Students in kindergarten through third grade raised a grand total of $2,115.55. Below is a listing of those classrooms by teacher in each grade level that raised the most toward that total:

  • kindergarten, Julie Welliver, $85.37;
  • first grade, Tabatha Almond, $170.05;
  • second grade, Veronica Hine, $156.93; and
  • third grade, Tanya Brown, $300.20.
