The Williamsport Area School District Alumni Association held its first all-class gathering, "The Millionaire Mingle," on Friday, April 26, at 33 East.  The event welcomed about 125 guests with representatives from classes as far back as 1938 to 2010.
The night invited alumni to join their friends and former classmates for an evening of fun, friendship and music (provided by Datman Productions) over complimentary hors d'oeuvres.  Attendees also had their chance at raffle prizes and were able to take a trip through time with a memorabilia display of old yearbooks, photos, publications and newspaper clippings.  Alumni also received a free Millionaire mug as a gift at the end of the evening.
The Alumni Association, in the company of district Superintendent Dr. Kathleen Kelley, also presented Sara Fortney Swank with a certificate for being the most "veteran" alumnus at the event, representing the Class of 1938.  Ms. Swank also is the mother of the organization's board president, Susan Swank-Caschera.
A few fun facts were reported that evening:
Most Represented Class: 1979 and 1982 (eight attendees each)
Most Represented Decade:  1970s and 1980s (34 attendees each)
Between the classes of 1979, 1980, 1981 and 1982, 20 alumni that previously attended the current WAHS at the same time were once again together in the same building during the Millionaire Mingle.
