for other employment, effective at the end of the 2007-2008 school year
(tentative date June 9, 2008).

LEAVES OF ABSENCE - Consider approving the following leave(s) of absence:

Marisa S. Hickey, full-time Classroom Music teacher at Curtin Middle School,
for an unpaid leave, effective May 22, 2008, through June 9, 2008.
8.4* ELECTION OF STAFF
Consider the election of the following staff, for the purpose and on the date
indicated:

The Williamsport Area School District extends a conditioned offer of employment
to Liesel A. Dorrow, 328 Equus Drive, Camp Hill 17011, as a temporary
professional employee, effective with the 2008-2009 school term (scheduled date
is August 21, 2008), to teach Instrumental Music at Lycoming Valley Middle
School and Round Hills and Hepburn-Lycoming Elementary Schools, at a salary
rate of Step 1, bachelors, $39,250, provided Ms. Dorrow obtains
Pennsylvania Department of Education certification and all appropriate
documentation by August 14, 2008 (replacing James Bertrand, retired). Ms.
Dorrow will also be scheduled to participate in Induction Program activities
before the start of the 2008-2009 school term.

STUDENT/COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES CONTD:

Consider approving the following student trips:
F.
Three (3) members of the Williamsport Area High Schools Red Cross Club to
travel to Penn College during May 2008 to participate in the Youth Ambassador
Service and Volunteer Project. The students will be supervised by the adults
for the agencies providing training.
There will be no cost to the District. The students will be transported
directly to the college and back by their parents.
G.
Ten (10) Lycoming Valley Middle School life skills support students,
accompanied by their teacher and two aides, to travel to the Williamsport Area
High School during May 2008 for a tour.
There will be no cost to the District. Transportation will be provided on
existing bus routes. 11.
BIDS/CONTRACTS CONTD:

Consider approving a Rental Agreement with the Central Pennsylvania Workforce
Development Corporation (CPWDC) for non-exclusive use of a classroom at the PA
CareerLink of Lycoming County for the Adult Education Program at an annual cost
of $2,500 (July 1, 2007 June 30, 2008) to be paid from Adult Basic
Education grant.
