CURRICULUM REPORT CONTD:

Considering authorizing the addition of occupational and physical therapy
services to the contract with BLaST Intermediate Unit for FY08.
7.8
Consider approving $180.00 for an inservice provided at BLaST Intermediate Unit
#17 for 12 teachers at Jackson Elementary on May 16, 2007.
7.9
Consider the payment of Student Assistance stipends to the following CARE Team
representative who was not included in the initial item approved 3/20/07, at
the stipend rate of $897 (stipend positions were board approved 5/6/97);
funding available from the Safe and Drug Free Schools and Communities grant.

Consider extending liability insurance coverage under the Districts
policy to three competent graduate student psychologist interns (Sarah Balduino
and Warren Whitaker from Bucknell University and Sarah Starr from Marywood
University) who will continue to provide voluntary service to the District
beyond the end of the Universitys semester and through the summer
from May 14 through August 31, 2007. The services will be provided gratis and
the University is unable to provide coverage when not in session.

Consider approving a ninth and tenth grade student survey to gather data
relevant to high school projects related to Project 720. Parent permission
will be sought before a student completes the survey.

Consider the election of the following staff, for the purpose and on the date
indicated:

Briana M. Ellis, 328 Clearbrook Ave., Lansdowne, as a paid intern in the Tax
Office, effective May 29, 2007, for the duration of up to 480 hours, at the
rate of $6.25 per hour (no benefits).
E.
Richard E. Hofer, 1941 Greenview Rd., Montoursville, as a substitute school bus
driver (non-bargaining unit personnel), with a base wage rate of $11.00 per
hour, effective May 16, 2007.

Consider approving the following position changes:

Kimberly A. Cassidy, 23 Scenic View Lane, Williamsport, from a full-time
Elementary (2nd
Grade) teacher at Sheridan Elementary School to a full-time Itinerant
Elementary Gifted Education teacher, effective August 23, 2007, at a salary
rate of Step 13, bachelors, $63,200 (+ $200) (replacing Betty Hill,
retired).
D.
Kathy M. Shirey, 503 Eden St., Jersey Shore, from a part-time Administrative
Support I in the Food Service Department to a full-time Administrative Support
I in Red House Guidance at the high school (185 day, 7 hours per day), with a
base wage rate of $19,477, prorated ($15.04 per hour), effective May 21, 2007
(replacing Karen Benson, transferred).

B.
Authorize payment to Spring M. Moore, 1133 Market St., Williamsport, and Ryan
C. Moon, 171 Rock Rd., Trout Run, as PSSA Remediation tutors, from April 23,
2007, through May 9, 2007, at the rate of $26.22 per hour, not to exceed 22
hours each.
C.
Consider approving the dismissal of a professional employee for the reasons set
forth in the written adjudication issued this date. Said adjudication results
from hearings held on March 6 and March 27, 2007.
8.6 CONTRACTED SERVICES
A.
Gretchen Sample, 1010 Old Berwick Rd., Apt. 5, Bloomsburg, qualified
interpreter of American Sign Language (ASL) and Pidgin Sign English (PSE) to
provide day-to-day substitute interpreter services (as needed) to eligible
students at the rate of $30.00 per hour for hours worked, minimum schedule of
two (2) hours per scheduled day, effective May 12, 2007, through June 8, 2007.

STUDENT/COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES CONTD:

Consider approving the following request for facility use:
A.
Williamsport AYSO to use the cafeteria at Cochran Elementary School on
Thursday, May 31 and Friday, June 1, 2007, from 5:15 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. to
hold fall registration. Williamsport AYSO is requesting relief from the
occupancy fee estimated at $50.00. Certificate of Insurance on file.

Consider authorizing the attached agreement with Lycoming County for collection
of real estate tax installment payments.
