5.2.   Consider approving the proposal of Brent L. Fish of Fish Real Estate to provide an     appraisal of the former Woodward Township Elementary School at a cost of $1,500.00.

8.1  RESIGNATIONS

 

Consider accepting the following resignation(s), effective on the dates and for the purposes indicated:

 

C.   Laura M. Barnsley, full-time Instructional Support Aide for the Water Safety Program at the high school, for personal reasons, effective March 19, 2007.

 

D.   Rachel L. Scott, as a part-time Health Room Technician at the high school, for personal reasons, effective March 16, 2007.

 

8.2  LEAVES OF ABSENCE

 

  Consider approving the following leave(s) of absence:

 

 D.   Amy R. Boatman, part-time Instructional Support Aide at Lycoming Valley Middle     School, for an unpaid leave, effective March 19, 2007, through April 4, 2007.

 

 E.   Tanya L. Gower, full-time Elementary (1st Grade) teacher at Hepburn-Lycoming       Elementary School, for an unpaid leave, effective April 2, 2007, through June 8,      2007.

   

8.3*   ELECTION OF STAFF  

 

  Consider the election of the following staff, for the purpose and on the date indicated:  

 

 G.   The following person(s) as Elementary Summer School Special Education Teachers,     assignment to be determined, for 3.5 hours per day, 5 days per week, plus one 30       minute building meeting each week, beginning July 9 through August 3, 2007 at the     rate of $27.03 per hour plus appropriate benefits, plus up to two professional       development days at $90 per day. All costs are budgeted under Sheridan Project      Grant:

8.3*   ELECTION OF STAFF CONT’D:  

 

 S.   Linda J. Heitsenrether, 1980 Maple Grove Circle, Williamsport, as a part-time (up to 185 days, prorated; up to 5 hours per day) Instructional Support Aide at Curtin Middle School, effective February 26, 2007, with a base wage rate of $10.94 per hour; FICA, Worker’s Compensation, Retirement (if eligible), and sick leave (per the Agreement between the Board and the Williamsport Area Education Support Professionals) are the only fringe benefits (replacing Carol Bennett, resigned).

 

 T.   The following winter sport coaches at the respective schools for the 2006-2007 school year at the salary rate in accordance with the 2002-2007 agreement by and between the Board of School Directors of the Williamsport Area School District and the Williamsport Education Association (pending completion of all appropriate paperwork*):

             

Wrestling

    MS Assistant Coach:    Leroy A. Harman, Sr. (0) * [½ season]  $ 888

           (replacing Isaiah Britton, resigned)

 

8.4*  POSITION CHANGES

 

  Consider approving the following position change(s):

 

 B.   Kathryn A. Girio, 2001 Hayes Lane, Williamsport, from a general food service       worker (3 hours daily) at Jackson Elementary School, to a general food service       worker (4¾ hours daily) at the Hepburn-Lycoming Elementary School, with a base     wage rate of $10.19 per hour, effective March 12, 2007 (replacing Mary Madsen,      transferred).
