Consider approving a Letter of Agreement with the Lycoming-Clinton MH/MR
Program for the provision of ad hoc mental health services to the middle and
high school Student Assistance Program teams. The $10,000 costs for these
services are paid by Safe and Drug-Free Schools and Communities grant funds.

Consider approving the Williamsport Area School District Reading Recovery
Training Site to provide Reading Recovery Continuing Contact Services during
2006-07 to:

by each of the Reading Recovery Teachers in six Continuing Contact sessions to
be held at the WASD Reading Recovery Training Site during 2006-07.

STUDENT/COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES CONTD:

Consider approving the following student trips contd:

Forty (40) Williamsport Area High School career and technical education
students, accompanied by their teachers, to travel to Penn College during
October 2006 to participate in a career exploration day. Students eligible to
participate will not have been suspended from school more than five days; will
have no bus disciplinary record; will be passing all major courses; and are
not, in the judgment of their house principal, experiencing attendance
difficulties.
District transportation is requested (10-1390-0519-000-30-850-280-033-0000).
One substitute will be needed for four teachers for the day.
H.
Four (4) Curtin Middle School students, accompanied by their principal, to
travel to Wenzlers Fruit Farm (Pennsdale) during October 2006. The
students will be trained about the different varieties of apples, storage,
etc., so that they can present the information to their peers during the Curtin
Health Fair. The students must be in compliance with the schools field
trip disciplinary requirements in order to participate.
The students will be transported by the principal. There will be no cost to
the District.
