The Special Meeting of the Board of School Directors of the Williamsport Area School District of which all members were duly notified and of which due public notice was given as required by Act 84 of 1986, was held on Tuesday evening, December 19, 2000, beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the multi-purpose room of Woodward Township Elementary School, 5933 North Route 220, Linden, Pennsylvania.
I. Call to Order, Statement of Purpose: Mr. David B. Stone, Jr.
The President, David B. Stone, Jr., called the meeting to order with the following members:
PRESENT: Karen V. Harris, Pamela J. Markle, Kelly R. Pedersen, David B. Stone, Jr.,
Dale L. Vollman, Lois T. Williams, Thomas A. Zimmerman.
ABSENT: Shirley L. Canada, James E. Temple.

III. Information Regarding Woodward Township Elementary School and Programs
The following district administrators reviewed information provided in the information packet:
Dr. Patricia A. Lowery, Superintendent
Mr. Charles E. Peterson, Jr., Business Administrator
Mrs. Jacqueline G. Thomas, Assistant Superintendent
Mrs. Kathryn E. Eshelman, Principal Jackson Elementary School
Mr. Rusty W. Franzen , Principal Stevens Elementary School
Dr. Patricia A. Lowery, Superintendent
IV. Comments from the Public:
Please line up behind the microphone and take turns speaking into the microphone for up to five (5) minutes per person. Since this is a hearing, the Board desires to hear the public’s comments. The School Directors and administrators prefer not to respond simultaneously to questions raised from the floor because they would like to have time to consider, and perhaps to research an issue, prior to making a statement about it. The Board will receive written testimony following this hearing. It is requested that such written testimony be submitted prior to March 13, 2001.

a. Motion made by Mrs. Markle, seconded by Mrs. Pedersen, to authorize payment of invoices and services rendered by the list submitted marked Order No. 12/19/00 in the amount of $618,252.74, 12/19/00A in the amount of $166,868.55, 12/19/00B in the amount of $572.00, 12/19/00C in the amount of $2,756.00, and 12/19/00D in the amount of $21,460.24, and that the officers of the Board of School Directors be directed to execute Order Nos. 12/19/00, 12/19/00A, 12/19/00B, 12/19/00C and 12/19/00D.
The motion carried by a unanimous roll call.
