The Special Meeting of the Board of School Directors of the Williamsport Area School District of which all members were duly notified and of which due public notice was given as required by Act 84 of 1986, was held on Tuesday evening, April 22, 2003, beginning at 5:05 p.m. in the Board of Directors Room, District Service Center, 201 West Third Street, Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
The President, David B. Stone, Jr., called the meeting to order with the following members:

Dale L. Vollman, Lois T. Williams, Thomas A. Zimmerman.
ABSENT: Pamela J. Markle and James E. Temple
2. GOB SERIES OF 2003
b. Motion made by Mr. Zimmerman, seconded by Mrs. Harris, to approve the following resolution authorizing the refinancing of the GOB Series of 1998 for the GOB Series of 2003 as presented:
3. Motion made by Mrs. Williams, seconded by Mrs. Harris, to approve a resolution authorizing Charles E. Peterson, Jr., Business Administrator, to execute all required forms and documents for the purpose of obtaining financial assistance under the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act (Public Law 93-288 as amended by Public Law 100-707). This is in reference to snow removal for the Presidents Day Snowstorm February 14-19, 2003.
The motion carried by a unanimous roll call.
4. BUDGET CALENDAR DISCUSSION Motion made by Mr. Zimmerman, seconded by Mr. Vollman to authorize special meetings for budget deliberations, consideration of the tentative budget and any other business to come before the Board, to be held beginning at 6:00 p.m. on April 29 and May 13, 2003.
The motion carried by a unanimous roll call.
5. ITEMS FROM BOARD MEMBERS
Mr. Zimmerman reported that a visioning session for the Lycoming County Planning Process, was being held at Roosevelt Middle School this evening. He stated that it takes approximately 20 minutes to provide input and he encouraged everyone to attend.
