BOYS BASKETBALL GAME TIME CHANGE
The JV and Varsity Boys basketball games scheduled for Friday,  December 14, 2007 against State College will have new starting times.  Because of the impending weather, we will play the basketball games in the afternoon.  The JV game will begin at 2:00 p.m. and the varsity game will begin at 3:30 p.m. at Williamsport Area High School.  Doors will open for the public at 1:00 p.m.

WASD Health Educator Named Health Teacher of the Year
 The Pennsylvania State Association for Health, Physical Education, recreation and Dance (PSAHPERD) honored Leslie Whitehill, Williamsport Area High School health educator and Williamsport Area School District health and physical education department coordinator, as the Health Teacher of the Year at the organizationšs awards luncheon Friday, November 16, 2007 at the Lancaster Host Resort and Conference Center Lancaster, PA. THREE WASD STAFF MEMBERS HONORED
The Pennsylvania Art Education Association held their annual awards banquet Friday, October 26 at the Scranton Cultural Center. Three staff members from the Williamsport Area School District were honored at the ceremony.  Click here for pictures & full story

NCLB REPORT CARDS
No Child Left Behind (NCLB) report cards are an important source of information about school performance and accountability.  They allow schools to compare data in a consistent way and highlight opportunities for improvement.  Go on-line to www.paayp.com to access the report cards for the Williamsport Area School District and your individual school.  Choose Lycoming County and type in the district name or the school name.  A hard copy of the school report is also available on the public announcement board in each school.

"MAKING THE GRADE"

LADY MILLIONAIRE SOFTBALL TEAM PLAY-OFF GAME
The Lady Millionaire softball team will play Pennsbury on Thursday, June 7th at 1:00 p.m. at Brightbill Park in Harrisburg in the Class AAAA PIAA state quarterfinals.  The bus will depart from WAHS at 9:45 a.m. for the 1:00 p.m. game.  Click here for directions.
