The WAHS Music Theatre Class will Present IMPACT! - a collage of musical theatre works in many styles including Blast, Stomp, Rent, Alt Rock, Classical Guitar and Violin, and Modern Dance. This is a class project the kids are very excited about....Show starts at 7:30 in the Auditorium. Seating is open and a donation to defray costs will be accepted at the door.
Music Theatre is an elective class offered through the Music Department at WAHS. Students may schedule the class if they are successful participants in Band, Orchestra, Choir, or Drama and are in grades 10 - 12.
Students in Musical Theatre research, design, produce and perform works that include advanced principals of singing, musical performance, modern dance and movement, equipment manipulation, character, physical communication, expression, emotion, and improvisation.
At WAHS, we celebrate Musical Theatre as a popular art form and significant medium for the communication and exploration of contemporary issues and ideas. Thank you for supporting the arts in our community and in the lives of these young people.
