WASD MUSIC
The Williamsport Area School District’s Music Department will present its Thirtieth Annual All-District Band Concert at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, March 3, 2003 in the Williamsport Area High School Auditorium. The event is designed as a brief snapshot of the district’s comprehensive, award winning band program and is free to the public.



Featured performances will include American Spirit, The Clarion Call, and This Land is Your Land by the Elementary Honor Band. Middle School offerings comprise Parade of the Jesters and America by the Sixth Grade Honors Band, Battle Pavane and John Williams Blockbusters by the 7th/8th Grade Honors Band.
The Williamsport Area High School is represented by the Freshman Band performing Majestia; A Festival Prelude by the Wind Ensemble; Birdland and Tiger of San Pedro by the Jazz Ensemble; Storm Warning and Dance by the Percussion Ensemble; Intermezzo and Oh, Susannah by the Saxophone Quartet; and the Symphony Band will perform Rise of the Firebird.
The program finale will feature all 450 participants performing Frank D. Cofield’s arrangement of God Bless America conducted by Richard S. Coulter, WASD Music Education Department Chairman.
