Williamsport Area High School honors student-athletes who have
lettered in varsity competition in three different sports.

The following Williamsport
Area High School baseball players will be signing letters of
intent to play baseball on the collegiate level.

Williamsport Area School District received a $5000 Community and
Economic Development Grant.

The students and employers participating in the Williamsport
Area High School’s community-based vocational training program
will be recognized at an awards breakfast on May 23, 2002 at the
Radisson Hotel.

The Williamsport Area School
District would like to recognize three outstanding achievements made by Patricia
Lowery, PhD., Superintendent; David B. Stone, Jr.; School Board President; and
Pamela J. Markle, School Board Member.

Lose Elementary is in
search of former Lose students who would be interested in
participating in a year-end program to mark the closing of the
building.

The
Williamsport Millionaire Boys basketball team will play the
Harrisburg Cougars (#5 seed) from District III in the third round
(Eastern Semi-Final) of the PIAA State Class AAAA boys' basketball
tournament.

The
Certified Nursing Assistant program being provided by the
Williamsport Area School District and the Susquehanna Health System
began on January 9, 2002 and will conclude on March 21, 2002.

The Williamsport
Millionaire boys’ basketball team will continue in the District
II/IV Class AAAA play-offs by playing in the semi-final game on
Tuesday, February 26th.
