The Williamsport Area High School has announced the names of its two student speakers for Commencement 2001. They are Robert Judson and Spencer Sweeting, both residents of Williamsport.  Along with thirteen of their peers, Judson and Sweeting participated in competitive auditions held Thursday afternoon, May 3, at the high school. All speeches were based on this year's commencement theme, taken from the writings of Joseph Wood Krutch: "eyes to see a universe worth seeing." A panel of students and staff members deliberated late into the day on Thursday to determine this year's speakers.

Commencement will be held at the Williamsport Area High School on Thursday, June 7, 2001.
