Why is Williamsport home of the Millionaires?
This project involves the study of the historical and cultural aspects of the Williamsport community during the mid-1800's when Williamsport was known as the "lumber capital of the world" and boasted more millionaires per capita than anyplace else in the country. The project focuses primarily on the background and history of Williamsport's Historic District, West Fourth Street, now known as "Millionaires Row."

WASD STRATEGIC PLAN
The Williamsport Area School District's Strategic Plan is now available for review. Comments on any portion of the plan can be made to Don Adams, Assistant Superintendent. The final version of the plan will be submitted to the state on September 19, 2008.
