The Williamsport Area School District Education Foundation’s Teacher Mini-Grant Program is designed to give WASD teachers the opportunity to enhance educational opportunities and activities for students. Teacher Mini-Grants provided by the Foundation may be awarded up to $1000./per project.
Mini-Grant Guidelines:
• Mini-Grant Applications must be completed for project funding to be considered.
• Any mini-grant proposal must first be signed and approved by the teacher’s Curriculum Director and then signed and forwarded by the teacher’s principal to the Foundation Executive Director and Mini-Grant Committee.
• All proposals submitted to the Foundation Executive Director by 4 p.m. on November 3, 2006, will be reviewed by the Education Foundation Mini-Grant Committee. Applicants will be notified about their grant status by Friday, November 17, 2006.
• Grants will be awarded based on the innovation, its creativity, educational value, and enrichment benefits of the activity.
• The Williamsport Area School District Education Foundation’s current financial status is a determining factor in Mini-Grants awarded annually.
• All equipment, library materials, and non-consumable items become the property of WASD once the project is completed or discontinued.
• One grant per teacher per year.
• Grants will not be given for parties, incentive gifts, or classroom supplies.
A requirement of the grant will be to submit the Post-Project Evaluation
Form. An evaluation form will be included in the approval packet. The
Evaluation Form is to be completed by Friday, May 4, 2007.
