CAPPA programs and projects are designed to move participants towards self-sufficiency and to enable them to become productive members of our community. CAPPA promotes:
Students from Lycoming College, Pennsylvania College of Technology and community volunteers provide mentor and support programs.
ASP provides supplemental services under the No Child Left Behind legislation.
Track academic and behavioral performance of each participant
Design and provide intervention and support when necessary to maximize school success and reduce drop-out rates
Youth Leadership Community Clean Up Awareness Day
American Red Cross Blood Drive Information Distribution
Monitor and Clean-up for Community Juneteenth Celebration
Summer Youth Employment Internship (Under Development)
Young Artists in Action (Under Development)

Free tutoring is offered in Math, Science, Social Studies, and English in grades 4-12 and College Introduction. This service is available everyday from 3:00pm to 10:00pm

Program Schedule:
Monday through Thursday from 3:00pm-5:30pm
Tutoring is provided by students from the Pennsylvania College of Technology and
Lycoming College
Tutoring is available for students in grades kindergarten - 8th grade
Transportation is provided from Cochran, Stevens, Sheridan, Curtin and
Williamsport Christian
The After School Learning Center offers tutoring to increase reading and mathematics skills and homework help, and dinner is provided at 5:00pm for all students who attend the program.
