Williamsport Area High School Parent-Teacher Organization

We Welcome you to our Web site and to our organization.
 
There was a PTSO sponsored OPEN HOUSE VISITATION on Thursday, September 3rd from 7-9pm. 
This was an excellent opportunity to:
  • Meet your student's teachers and learn about the courses they have selected for the 2009-2010 school year (guidance counselors and other staff members will be available to answer questions about the high school).
  • Learn about various Clubs and Service Organizations (several will have tables to share information that evening)
  • Become a PTSO member  (A membership table will be located in the hub)
    • Please help support our students...become a PTSO member...$5.00 per adult and $3.00 per student for membership
    • The first (1st period) Classe with 100% membership will be treated to donuts ...So don't forget to join!
  • Order a Wreath for the holidays (see order forms under "FORMS" on  the left margin ... forms and $ collection will be available at the Open House).
  • Get forms to sign-up for the Giant A+ School Rewards program Giantaplus.com our school code is #01297
  • Also we're having a great Basket Raffle with 11 baskets.  Stop by the raffle table on your way from the commons to the hub, buy a few tickets, and test your luck!

Meetings:

The PTSO holds at four regular meetings throughout the school year.  Dates for 2009-10 will be: 
  • Wednsday, September 16th
  • Wednesday, November 18th
  • Wednesday, February 17th
  • Wednesday, April 14th

All meetings are held at 7pm in the high school library.
Parents, teachers and students WE WELCOME YOUR ATTENDANCE!  Come and learn about the PTSO.  Become involved and see what's happening in your son or daughter's school.

 
Membership:
  • Annual membership dues are $5.00 per adult and $3.00 per student.
  • Membership is open to all individuals regardless of race, color, creed or national origin
  • Although our membership drive is held in the Fall you are free to join any time throughout the school year.   
    • Membership forms are available for printing on this web site under the "forms" side bar along with more detailed information.
  • To vote on PTSO matters you must be a member of the organization.
  • Memberships can be turned into the 9th grade office (any time) or to Classroom representatives (Sept. 3-Sept. 17)
Fundraisers:
  • Membership Drive (Sept. 3rd- ) and at PTSO Open House Visitation on September 3rd.                                                                                                                             
  • Giant A+ School Rewards *Sign up for WAHS credit on line http://Giantaplus.com or at the store (Giant will match a portion of your shopping total and donate to our school) our school code is #01297
  • Christmas Wreath & Swag Sale (Orders Due November 22st with Pick-up at WAHS T-wing parking on Sat, Dec 5th)
