TO TEACH IS TO TOUCH A LIFE FOREVER. I firmly believe this. I hope I have a good impact on your child and that he or she will remember me forever, for I will remember all of them. I try to teach as though I am teaching my own child.
Your child will learn many new things this year. Second grade has become a transitional year. I will take your child from the early years of education and prepare them for the intermediate years. Some of the exciting new things will be in Math – learning to tell time to the 5 minute, fractions, multiplying and dividing, regrouping and renaming (carrying and borrowing), just to name a few! Also, around the winter holiday we will be starting cursive writing – they LOVE this! We also have an exciting Science unit called FOSS where we will learn about Air and Weather.
I hope to open many little minds and help to shape our future. |
