Welcome to the 2011-2012 School Year

The PTO is excited to welcome back all the returning Curtin families. As the parent or guardian of a Curtin student, you are automatically invited to join the PTO. There is no cost and membership is open to everyone. The PTO is a dynamic group dedicated to strengthening our students education by working together with the parents, teachers, and administration.

Curtin Middle School has embraced an Open Door Policy. You are welcomed and encouraged to come to school, visit classrooms, have lunch with your child, and participate in activities.

What does the PTO do?

  • The PTO funds the cost of field trips for all 3 grade levels.
  • The PTO helps to provide snacks and treats for testing days and school events.
  • The PTO raised over $2,000 to help jump-start the library renovations.

What can YOU do? Consider giving just 2 hours a year to support PTO by:

  • Helping with the annual dinner
  • Assisting with play production
  • Participating in the fund raising activities: Walkathon, Cake Auction, Basket Auction
  • Chaperoning student activities or dances
  • Volunteering in the library
  • Being part of the Odyssey of the Mind program
  • Lending a hand at student receptions or other special events
  • Have another suggestion? Let us know!

When are the meetings?

  • We meet on the 2nd Monday of the month (or the day after if there is holiday or snow day), 7:00 - 8:00, in the auditorium.

Who is on the PTO Board?
